Seaforth Farm has so much to offer! Experience the spacious freedom of
staying on a real working farm, only two minutes drive to all the attractions of the Dolphin Coast. Visit the private
Bird hide, or just relax by the pool or on the sundeck! Take a conducted farm walk with Trevor and meet his tame
Brahman cattle. Walk amongst the organic fruit & vegetable gardens and taste the fresh produce served with
real farm eggs at breakfast.
Seaforth Farm is an historical old farm, just 30 minutes from Durban and close to the main route to the wonders
of Zululand. It is situated on high ground overlooking Salt Rock. Seaforth was first owned by Sir Liege Hulett,
founder of the South African sugar industry. He purchased it for his father, DR James. L. Hulett who later became
the Bishop of Zululand. Seaforth became the first school in the area, opened in 1858 by Dr Hulett and his daughters,
and recently a Seaforth College has opened in the area.
The home is always decorated with imaginative floral art arrangements, mostly picked from the huge sub tropical
gardens. Sharneen is a well known water colour painter and floral artist. Trevor thoroughly enjoys showing his
guests around on a late afternoon walk, where they are introduced to the very tame Brahman Stud cattle. Trevor
is also an excellent woods craftsman and some of his works are incorporated in the furnishing of the house. Primary
farming activities include a Brahman Cattle Stud, speciality broiler chickens, an organic vegetable and fruit garden
and a litchi orchard.
The beach is the main attraction for most visitors and the Dolphin Coast has 5 kms of magnificent golden beaches
and sheltered coves from which to choose, including one named after Trevor's grandfather, Thompson's Bay! The Dolphin
Coast is home to many exciting rock & surf fishing spots and many game fish are caught offshore by local fishing
enthusiasts. Some of the beaches offer excellent diving spots for the spear fishermen and beautiful reefs for the
scuba diver.
There are many interesting places along the Dolphin Coast to explore. These include Crocodile Farms, an Animal
Farm, Sugar Mill, Pottery Gallery, a 'Zulu' experience, and the historical King Shaka Trail. Other activities on
offer are 3 great Golf Courses, Horse riding, quad Bikes, Microlight Flips and Dolphin Viewing at sea. Various
shopping centres and restaurants are available, as well as two Saturday Markets.
Trevor's enthusiasm and expert experience in Game and bird viewing is available for you to draw on.
His knowledge of animals & birds and his bushcraft will help make your safari so much more. Take advantage
of Trevor's experience and knowledge of the area and let him advise, plan and book your Zululand, Maputoland or
Drakensberg Safari for you - it will cost you no extra at all. Trevor can advise you on your itinerary, so that
you spend the right amount of time in the right place. He can organize your safari, whether it be an intensive
"off-road" big 5 experience, or the standard Ranger driven 4x4 game drive in Hluhluwe/Imfolozi park,
or a self drive safari in your own vehicle.
Guests have the choice of Bed and Breakfast double rooms or a family suite consisting of 2 rooms that can sleep
up to 5 people, or a self catering farm cottage. The cottage is quaint, small and very much a farm setting....ideal
for a family with young children who can get close up to tame cows, hold tiny baby chicks in their hands. You can
even have a chance to ride on a cow!

'What can I say? We had so many B&Bs, but why are you the best?? Because you really know what is hospitality
and you are so specially people!! You like details and that' why I love it so much. People who care about details
are people who really care. They are important for the world and the next generations. It is the most beautiful
thing we can give our children.'
